In Honor of the Class of 2024: Representative’s Graduation Presentation and Vote of Thanks, 021224

With great honour and privilege, I stand before you today to deliver a vote of thanks on behalf of the class of 2024 as we celebrate the culmination of our journeys toward the Doctor of Education. Today marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with possibilities and a renewed commitment to the field of education.

During the doctorate study, I had to navigate many significant life events – including the birth of my two daughters – and challenging contexts, such as the political upheaval in Hong Kong and Covid 19. Thanks to all fellow graduates who share their inspiring words and expressions of gratitude. We grew not just as scholars but as people, enriched with new perspectives and fortified by the support of those around us. Our supervisors, especially, are helpful and inspirational all the time. Without them, the thesis is mission impossible. It is a journey that requires not only dedication and resilience but also practical wisdom and courage when we encounter challenges in our research and life.

To our families and friends, your support has been invaluable. Today’s achievement is as much yours as ours, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

To my fellow graduates, As we step forward, may we remain humble learners. Let us honor the sacrifices we and our loved ones have made by working tirelessly to uplift others. May we stay connected and support each other as alumni and colleagues in the future. Be kind and humble before we can impact lives, influence policies, and bring positive change to the communities we serve. And don’t let the world change your kindness.
